Food-resistant, suitable for drinking water, very good oil and fat resistance

The NBR rubber (also called Perbunan) consists of acrylonitrile and butadiene, is a copolymer and is a rubber compound for special sealing applications in the food industry and in the industrial water sector. The rubber is characterized by excellent oil resistance, abrasion resistance, tensile strength, as well as a favorable aging behavior and a low compression set. The rubber compound is suitable for direct contact with food. BgVV XXI (BGA) category 2 and for drinking water gem. KTW 1.3.13 D2 (cold water and hot water) released. The resistance to oils and fats (vegetable and animal), as well as fuels and heating oils is excellent.

The medium-hard rubber compound has a hardness of about 60°Shore A and is the usual standard hardness for rubber, comparable to car tires. The best choice for many applications. The rubber compound remains dimensionally stable under pressure over a large area and springs in slightly.
